Industry Leaders Team to Deliver PIV Solutions Based on Microsoft Forefront Identity Manager

Intercede Group plc and Oxford Computer Group LLC (OCG) today announced they have signed a strategic partnership agreement to deliver PIV (Personal Identity Verification) solutions to non-Federal organisations.

Furthermore, OCG announces today that they have also teamed with Gemalto to extend the scope of this market offering to include the supply of smart card and associated components. Gemalto is already an Intercede partner.

This alliance brings a pre-configured, end-to-end PIV solution to market for enterprises (i.e. state and local governments and critical infrastructure businesses) who want to use the PIV standard (PIV-Interoperable or PIV-Compatible depending on the organisations relationship with Federal Government). The PIV standard is a set of requirements that can be used for organisations external to the Federal Government to create credentials that are based upon a well-defined set of standards from both the technical and the issuance perspective.

FIM 2010 is an Identity and Access Management platform that provides powerful self-service capabilities for end users, rich administrative tools and enhanced automation for common identity, certificate, and smartcard lifecycle management tasks.

ASK Appoints New CEO

ASK has appointed Thierry Lucereau as a CEO, in replacement of Bruno Moreau, who remains a board member.

The company has kept growing on local and global markets over the last 5 years while extending its manufacturing capacity in major parts of the world.

Gatwick Express Launches New Ticket Gates

From Monday 12th of December, Gatwick Express will be testing new ticket gates that have been installed at both London Victoria train station and Gatwick Airport train station.

The new ticket gate lines will be staffed by dedicated Gatwick Express Customer Service Hosts. They will also be enabled to accept smartcard technologies in the future.

This new gate line to the Gatwick Express platforms, at both stations, means there will no longer be an option to buy a ticket once onboard the Gatwick Express train from Monday 12th December. Customers will need to purchase their tickets before they board the train.

As well as these new gates and the new staffing role, the non-stop rail service provider is installing eight new ticket machines at London Victoria train station and Gatwick Airport train station.

The new gates will be fully operational by the 31st December.

Ukash Provides Reload Option for New Watch2Pay

Ukash has been listed as a reloading centre for the UK's first ever prepaid contactless wristwatch. Watch2Pay launched last week.

The new wristwatch will enable consumers to 'Tap & Go' against a contactless reader at over 70,000 retailers throughout the UK, removing the need to enter a PIN. Using the reloadable MasterCard card provided, consumers will have the option to load cash onto their wristwatch using Ukash.

David Hunter from Ukash explained, "Time will tell whether your wristwatch replaces your wallet but the digitalization of cash is well under way."

Lucas Scheybal, CEO of LAKS, said, "Enabling consumers to reload our contactless wristwatches with Ukash has allowed us to offer the trusted and secure cash payment method to all our customers. It was important to us to work with established UK brands, and Ukash comes with the additional bonus of being recognised internationally with its large global footprint."

idOnDemand Offers (CIV) Credentials

idOnDemand, announces its Commercial Identity Verification (CIV) credential offering, with the Identive SmartID card with CIV. Private enterprises can leverage the same technology and data model that the Federal government uses to establish a secure, reliable, electronically verifiable identity program without the requirement for cross-certification with the Federal Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Bridge.
