IAS Develop New Airport Security Solution

International Automated Systems (IAS) have become the latest company to announce that it is to develop a airport security system based on biometric identification technology. The new system will aim to enable airlines to match passengers to their tickets and luggage.

When implemented, the IAS airport security scanner will take a digital photograph of the passenger and scan a fingerprint and an item of identification. It then matches these identity points to the boarding pass and luggage, and the information is stored on a card for the passenger to use at additional security checks in the airport.

IAS has created a working demo of the new system which it hopes will be integrated with an airport’s existing check-in and security infrastructure.
